A strong and comprehensive Initial Assessment procedure will ensure the candidate accesses the right course and the individual’s learning needs are identified.
All trainees are thoroughly assessed to ensure they are suitably matched to the placement. They will need to take into consideration the workplace vision, values and practices. The process ensures the learner can maximise from their experience and complete their course. We explore the needs of each individual learner to break down the barriers, support their social and basic skills such as literacy and numeracy.
We use a variety of tools and procedures including Basic Skills Agency approved software and materials. A personalised learning programme will be drawn up for each learner which will reflect their personal, vocational and academic needs and preferences.
Entry to employment training will be conducted on a one to one basis or in small group workshops. Support will be given to identify suitable career plans and arranging suitable work placements.
